A petrol tanker overturned earlier today on the N2 road in Ngqushwa, heading towards Makhanda in the Eastern Cape. According to Makhaya Komisa, the spokesperson for the Eastern Cape Department of Transport, the truck was loaded with diesel and had one male driver as the sole occupant at the time of the incident.

The tanker was traveling from Ngqushwa towards Makhanda when the accident occurred. Authorities have yet to confirm the exact cause of the accident, but emergency services were dispatched immediately to the scene to assess the situation and ensure the safety of nearby motorists.
