In a heartfelt message, Mpumelelo told TshisaLIVE: “I’m happy for her. May God be with her. God is good. God loves his children. He saw what she wanted and blessed her with marriage.”

Vuyokazi’s New Beginning

Vuyokazi shared images from her lobola ceremony, accompanied by the caption “a promise kept.” Her recent marriage marks a new chapter in her life after her relationship with Mpumelelo ended.

In a recent episode of the Mseleku family reality show, Izingane Zes’thembu, Tirelo asked Vuyokazi if she would have stayed in the relationship had Mpumelelo kept his promise to make her his first wife, to which she replied “yes.”

Mpumelelo’s Views on Polygamy

Mpumelelo Mseleku currently has one girlfriend, Tirelo, with whom he shares a one-year-old baby. Following in his father’s footsteps, Mpumelelo is navigating the complexities of polygamy. He stated, “I got an opportunity to showcase what I do. How to structure polygamy and make people understand you don’t start polygamy when you are old. You have to start it now and grow with it to understand the dynamics. It’s not forced. It’s something I was raised in. People are failing to understand that.”

Having grown up in a polygamous household where his father has four wives, Mpumelelo learned valuable lessons about maintaining multiple relationships. “What I learned from my father is to always be truthful, humble and respectful, and know how to apologise.”

In the Zulu culture, there is a saying that a person follows in the footsteps of their father. Mpumelelo’s upbringing in a polygamous family shaped his understanding and approach to relationships, much like someone raised in a family business would carry on that legacy.
