The Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA) reports that ‘Sibongile and The Dlaminis’ is the most-watched TV show on DStv, with 1.3 million viewers in June. Nomsa Philiso, the CEO of general entertainment at MultiChoice, congratulated the cast and confirmed that the show has been renewed for a second season. The new season is set to premiere on July 29.
Philiso praised the show’s success, attributing it to good scripting, casting, and overall production quality. She thanked the middle and mass scripted team for their hard work and expressed hope for continued growth in viewership numbers in the upcoming season.
