CCBSA’s Procurement Internship is designed to offer workplace experience that complements academic learning. It’s a 12-month formal development programme aimed at empowering young professionals by providing hands-on exposure to the intricate workings of Procurement within the Finance department.

📝 Responsibilities You Will Take On
As a Procurement Intern, you will assist the Procurement Specialist in carrying out essential daily tasks. Your core duties will include:
🔍 Procurement Administration:
- Assist with Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Request for Information (RFI) processes.
- Support with preferential vendor sourcing to meet B-BBEE requirements.
- Help with issuance of bids, tracking responses, verifying documents, and managing moderation.
- Compile summary reports of bids before scoring and award recommendations.
- Handle general procurement query resolution.
📑 Contracts Management:
- Assist in drafting Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Prepare contract extension, breach, or termination letters.
- Expedite contracts for sign-off in accordance with the Local Chart of Authority.
- Maintain and update the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) Platform.
- Submit contract pricing for creation on ERP platforms (SAP/D365).
🧾 Vendor and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Update the Transporter Database with new vendor details and approved rates.
- Liaise with internal departments such as distribution, exports, imports, and planning.
- Respond to vendor pricing queries and source preferred service providers.
- Manage tracker for new vendor requests for future RFQ/RFP/RFI participation.
- Log air and sea freight requests and summarize meeting notes from Supplier Relationship Management sessions.
📚 Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants should meet the following criteria:
✅ Qualifications:
- A relevant Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, or a related field.
✅ Experience:
- Relevant work experience is a plus but not mandatory—perfect for recent graduates.
✅ Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- SAP knowledge is advantageous.
✅ Additional Requirements:
- Must be a South African Citizen.
