Return to Original Schedule

Scandal! expanded its weekly episodes in July 2024 in a bid to reclaim its signature top spot after slipping in viewership rankings in March. The move seemed to pay off, as recent data revealed by TVSA shows that the soapie has become South Africa’s most-watched TV show on weekends.

Ratings Surge on Weekends

The soapie has outperformed its competitors, including SABC1’s Shuga Down South on Sundays at 19h30. Additionally, it has surpassed SABC1’s Uzalo daytime Omnibus on Sundays, along with all shows on SABC2, S3, and DStv across both weekend nights.

With the return to its five-day schedule, fans can look forward to the consistent drama and intrigue Scandal! is known for, packed into a weekday slot that promises to continue dominating the ratings.
