T’Bose and Mapitsi Step into a New Chapter: The New Matriarch of the Maputla Family
From the very beginning of Skeem Saam, Meikie Maputla has held the role of the formidable matriarch, expertly managing the Maputla household and guiding her sons to success. However, Season 13 marks a significant shift as we witness her grappling with empty nest syndrome. The mantle of matriarch is passed on to the next generation, with Mapitsi stepping into this pivotal role in the new Maputla house.
T’Bose and Mapitsi’s journey began as two high school sweethearts navigating the challenges of teenage pregnancy. Over the years, they’ve grown into a strong couple, blessed with a healthy son, achieved university qualifications, embarked on successful careers, and celebrated their union in marriage. Their story has been one of love, growth, and resilience.
Starting on the 2nd of September 2024, Skeem Saam viewers will follow the couple as they move into their own beautiful home, marking a new chapter in their lives. Their son, Pitsi (played by Lethabo Matsetela), is joined by a new sibling, Baby Oratile (played by Realeboha Khotle), completing their young family of four.
